Littles get a head start on the skills they'll need to start forming good handwriting habits. We'll teach them with games, coloring, crafts, and recipes. Letter lines, direction, and size introduces them to the foundations of learning how to write neatly. They'll get stronger hands and coordination along the way. As a live online class, parents will get individualized suggestions on how to best support their budding writer!
Growing minds and hands learn letter writing basics while playing games, relay racing, doing silly word puzzles, and craft projects. They'll get intimate with the letter lines, the rules, and the dice game. Their teachers will actually be able to read their classwork.
Our more mature students will impress their future teachers with just how well they can create legible sentences and paragraphs. It's all about spaghetti and meatballs while crafting, playing games, and solving word puzzles. Our small virtual classes with breakout groups will help to make new friends easier.
(Ages vary by availability to keep class size small)
We match up 2-3 students for an intimate hour of learning skills to build self esteem and confidence at a time that seems so precarious and frightening. Children will participate in creating craft projects, learning coordinated dance movements, playing games with healthy competition (and learning how to win or lose gracefully), doing slimy experiments or cooking up some food or fun. Each 8-week series will be different for every group as it will be individualized for the collective interests of its members. Positive support and encouragement will breed confident and happy children. Each Semester consists of 1 hour per week for 8 consecutive weeks. Classes will be scheduled on a rolling basis.
