CHAYA GOTTESMAN, MOT, OT/L

Director/Senior Occupational Therapist

Chaya earned her Masters degree in occupational therapy from Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Florida.  She began her career more than 20 years ago working in various pediatric settings including a hospital-based preschool for multiply handicapped children,  a blended Head Start, a Preschool for Special Education, a Universal Pre-Kindergarten program,  Early Intervention home care and then as an independent provider for the New York Department of Education.  She established Sensation New York in 2004 to provide sensory-based learning and therapy to the pediatric population of New York's Upper West Side neighborhood. Chaya is thrilled to be New York's first  Certified Size Matters Handwriting Program Therapist and Instructor.  Her undergraduate major in theatre/speech & drama serves her well as she entertains while educating audiences of parents, teachers, graduate students and therapists across the United States. Chaya continues to serve as a clinical instructor to graduate students of several universities when her schedule allows.

JENNIFER ANDERSON

Doctoral Level II Grad Student

Jennifer Anderson is completing her Doctorate program at NYU. She comes to us with experience working with kids from previous fieldwork experiences.  Her plan is to focus on educating parents of children with chronic conditions.

ADELE LOUX-TURNER

Certified Infant Development Movement Educator

Adele Loux-Turner has taught movement to adults and children since she moved to New York in 2001 to pursue a professional dance career.  She has taught pre-and postnatal yoga since 2006, and has assisted women through their labors since 2008.  Her work with women in the perinatal year is what inspired Adele to pursue studies in infant movement.  Adele certified as an IDME (Infant Developmental Movement Educator) through the school of Body-Mind Centering® in 2015, and she has worked closely with infants ever since, including her own son who is now 3 1/2 years old.  She is registered as a Somatic Movement Educator through ISMETA (International Somatic Movement Education and Therapy Association) and as a RYT®-500 through Yoga Alliance.  She most recently trained as a postpartum doula to help further hone her skills in facilitating the parent-child bond.
